Life can take us by surprise, and I understand the importance of finding the right person to help you navigate through those hard times. I offer a warm, patient, down to earth approach, so that together we can explore those areas you may be finding confusing, challenging, or sad.

You are completely unique and so is your situation. Therefore, I seek to understand how you uniquely experience the world so that together we can gain insights into how you think, feel and respond to life events and the people around you. With this knowledge you can then choose what to change and what to accept.

In addition to my private practice, I also work in schools providing counselling to both staff and students as well as group facilitation, peer support groups, workshops and psycho-education. I have also worked within a BACP accredited community counselling agency providing online and in person counselling to adults and young people.

I bring a combination of knowledge, training and life experience to my work. My background in the performing arts gives me a particular understanding of the creative process and how it can be deeply connected to how we experience and express ourselves. For musicians, dancers, actors, writers, artists and other creative people, their work can sometimes express what words alone cannot. If this is meaningful to you, your own creative language and process can become part of our work together, helping us to communicate and explore experiences more deeply in ways that feel instinctive or natural to you.

Our sessions can be in-person or online, and I offer both long-term and short-term counselling. I work with adults and young people from the age of 11, and people of all races, heritage, religions, genders and sexual orientations are welcome in my practice.

I am a registered member of the BACP with an enhanced DBS certificate and professional insurance in place. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.  Please click here for more information.
